Made In Germany

The entire rhubarb leather manufacturing process takes place in Germany, from the cultivation of the plants, to the production of the tanning substance, the farming of the cattle and the tanning of the leather.

The product stands for high quality and meets current environmental and labour protection laws. In addition, jobs are created and maintained in the agricultural and leather industries as a result of the farming and processing involved in making this product. Only domestically-grown rhubarb roots, which are extracted and processed in the same region, are used to produce the tanning agent. In addition to using the root to tan the leather, the plant leaves above ground contain acids which can be used to manufacture organic cleaning agents among other things. All of the other plant remains can be composted and therefore re-enter the ecological cycle.
